With 10 days to go before leaving for the US and then Argentina to meet up with daughter Anna, my training for the ride is stepping up. \u00a0Was in Geelong to watch the UCI world cycling championships over the weekend. \u00a0Now that was motivating, 265kms for the mens road race in perfect conditions almost no wind and temp around 22deg C. \u00a0Davies won bronze with a storming finish and Cadel Evans worked hard throughout the whole race in support.<\/p>\n
Managed 70kms Saturday across to Barwon Heads, riding the mountain bike with Michael McGuirk, an Australian legend. \u00a0We had great fun both during the ride and after. \u00a0Kew Boulevard this morning for a quick 30ks. \u00a0Managed to overtake a couple of road bikes – always fun when they see a mountain bike going past – the pace increases.<\/p>\n
