A great downhill run from the hotel then solid climbing into town and on through rolling country.<br \/>\n A charming bustling town with narrow winding streets. Some how we missed the group and Jamie, Franco Holcs and I checked out the town. Franco lead the way up a very steep cobbled street. We made it to the top. Someone david I think had mentioned a bar at the top of the town. We spotted a roof line above us and decided onward and upward on a steep winding road. It was a struggle. Garmin said 20% plus. We made it only to find the town reservoir.<br \/>\nBack down was more tricky sitting right back on the saddle. Seemed like a vertical drop. Met up with the others eventually and found a tim shop for a sim card for the iPad.<br \/>\nSo Jamie Annabel &#038; I set off on the next leg to lunch somewhere by a reservoir. Good riding through rolling country with the sounds of my rear spokes tinkling matching that of the cow and sheep bells as we passed then grapzing the hilly country. Learnt a lot from both who are experienced cyclists Jamie in particular was a pro riding in Europe just missing out on the Olympic team 10 years ago.<br \/>\nThe van was waiting to take us down a rough dirt track to a picnic lunch under the trees beside the dam.<br \/>\nSet off through a small hill town and a big climb to a high pass. Chased Emma who is a great rider. We ended up side by side at the top.<br \/>\nThen down hill over the 360 deg over pass into our town and up the hill to the hotel<br \/>\nThen into the vehicles to visit the cathedral at Monreale. Stunning frescoes ion architecture which was a mixture of moorish and Italianate<br \/>\nBack for another great 5 course dinner and ready for a big day tomorrow 130k. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wonderful weather blue skies and ready to roll to the town of Corleone of Mafiosi fame.
